Evergreen Vegan & Vegetarian is Nicosia’s new hot spot. With only a few months of operation under its belt it has managed to gather the attention of locals, filling up during the weekends. Its location is somewhat hidden, found within the Nicosia Municipal Gardens yet tucked away in a corner underneath the eucalyptus trees.
On most nights, its music will give away its location and once closer, the fairy lights will let you know you are there. The set-up is simple: just a few wooden tables, a bar near the DJ booth and a small kitchen cooking up vegan and vegetarian meals. Every Thursday there is live music and on Saturdays and Sundays different DJs arrive to play groovy sets. This weekend, however, a different kind of event will take place at Evergreen.
A stand-up comedy show featuring not one but four comedians will take place this Sunday, October 11 with a €7 entrance. Zacharia Zanettou, Constantinos Psillides, Christal Chrisofi and Pavlos Pavlides are the four comedians to take the floor. Their sets are inspired by daily life mixed with each one’s quirkiness. They will each perform a solo set of 25 minutes, starting at 8.30pm. The venue is cosy and small so the number of available seats is limited. For an amusing night book a table by calling 99-855919.
